Graduate Recogniton Sunday
May 17, 2020
Graduate Recognition Sunday was held on May 17. Although it looked a bit different than usual, we wanted to be sure to honor and recognize the graduating seniors from our congregation. Graduates were presented with quilts from the HLCW as a reminder that they are wrapped in the love of God and their church even when they leave this place. They were also presented with Bibles as a gift from the church. Hope Lutheran Church provides Bibles at baptism, third grade, and graduation as we, as a congregation, made a promise at baptism to support them in their life in Christ.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Hope Lutheran Church is suspending all in-person worship services, meals, and other gatherings until it is deemed safe to gather. Please watch this website and the church's Facebook page (a link is at the bottom of this page) for updates.
Although we won't be able to worship together in person for a while, our radio broadcast will continue! Please tune in to WLDY 1340AM at 9:00am each Sunday to join us in worshiping our Lord and Savior. The service will also be streamed on the church's Facebook page (there is a link at the bottom of this page).
We will be celebrating Holy Communion during the worship service. We invite those who are baptized and believe in the crucified and risen Jesus Christ to share in this holy meal. We ask that you have available a small piece of bread and a little wine or grape juice. After the bread and wine are consecrated you can share them with those in your home saying, “The body of Christ given for you. The blood of Christ shed for you.”
Although our Youth Education programs are currently suspended, we encourage families to continue to nurture the faith of their children. The NALC has a website devoted to just that. Please visit the site for daily devotions, prayers, coloring pages, activities, and much more.

Our Mission - commissioned to make disciples,
commanded to love God and others, and committed to serve.
What we believe
We believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to make disciples for Christ. We believe that making disciples — in our congregations, in our communities and nations, and around the world — must be a priority of the Church in the present age.
